BABOON PROOF YOUR PROPERTY:
Contain your food and waste:

- Pet food put out will attract baboons.
- Fruit trees, compost heaps and vegetable gardens need to be enclosed in a cage or electric fence.
Plant trees and shrubs that baboons don’t eat.
Secure your house:
- Install baboon proof burglar bars on your windows (8cm gap only).
- Close windows and doors without bars when you’re not home.
- Keep windows or doors open only on 8cm gaps.
- Closed curtains, wooden shutters and one way glass also help to keep baboons away.
Check your neighbours’ situation: If neighbours are attracting baboons, they’ll get onto your property too.
